Cyber Essentials achieved through a security-first approach
Barnes Logistics’ holistic approach to security has been rewarded with Cyber Essentials certification.
The company has always recognised the importance of robust IT processes and systems to complement physical measures for safeguarding customers’ goods and information.
Operating nationwide, Barnes Logistics serves a broad client base including blue-chip companies, SMEs and the UK Government.
“We treat information provided by our clients with the utmost care, just as we do their freight,” explained Paul Carey, chief financial officer of Barnes Logistics.
“Cyber Essentials certification confirms that our team is taking the right approach, and we’re delighted to be formally recognised.”
Backed by the Government, Cyber Essentials is a scheme that helps organisations protect themselves against the most common cyber-attacks.
For Barnes Logistics, it is the latest in a range of quality accreditations, which include ISO 9001, the Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS), the Fertiliser Industry Assurance Scheme (FIAS) and Section 5 for defence-related logistics activity.
